 First trip for 2025




Well, I can't believe it's now 2025, wow the time has flown by very fast. Well anyway now that's it's a new year it's time to start the blogging and share our advantage, vacation and whatever comes our way or just a random spontaneous trip.  



So, to start the year we have already done one trip. We booked a plane trip to Cairns Queensland. It has been years since I was last on a plane, but it was Cody's first time, pretty sure he enjoyed it. OMG! When we landed the heat was like hell. I mean everyone was telling me that the heat was so different but didn't think it was that bad. Well, the next day we went for a walk, but my dumbass wasn't drinking water at all. Well on the walk I started to feel a bit sick in the stomach, so I said I'm not feeling well I need some water. So, we bought some really cold water, and I started to drink it, but not only did I drink it, but I also poured the really cold water onto my face (at the time I didn't know you don't put cold water on your face but room temperature water). Well from there I went downhill very quickly. I was sick the whole time we were in cairns apart from one day for a few hours I was good enough to go swimming at this beautiful creek. You can pretty much float from one end of the creek to the other (I want to do that next time we go back up). We took a little 10/20-minute walk to find a really gorgeous private spot I wish I got a photo of this spot but only of the first one.



It was time to head back home on the plane and I was still so sick. I felt so embarrassed being so sick on the plane. But I really do have to thank the amazing staff that were on the JetStar plane that day that looked after me till we landed. The worst part of the whole trip was me getting sick and being sick the whole time, there were so many things I wanted to do and see while we were there but couldn't but there will be a next time and maybe not when it's the hottest part of the year up there.

Pilliga Princess

The Story on The Pilliga Princess. In North-Western NSW, there is a huge section of dense scrub known as the Pilliga. There are stories of many strange occurrences and even talk of Yowies (I’ll do a story later on The Pilliga Yowie), but one phenomenon has been reportedly sighted many times. Many truckers and other travellers report seeing an apparition of an old woman walking along the road pushing a trolley of bags. She is said to wear a red fishing hat, pulled down to eye level, and a World War I army coat. She is known as the Pilliga Princess. She is said to have a mop of wild white hair, and even glowing eyes, according to some reports. She is even said to have been seen wandering around nearby truck stops. One night in 1993 the Pilliga Princess was hit and killed by a truck.
